Comments:
I traded for this Homecraft sixteen" scroll saw from a fellow fellow member on this site that I've washed some horse trading with in the past with on a band saw. He picked the saw up while checking out another machine up in New Bailiwick of jersey...told me he could non pass this scroll saw up for $40 !

When I got the saw shipped to me in Houston it was in really really corking shape overall but needing to have a broken off lower bract chuck thumb screw drilled out and removed... then a skillful cleaning/wire brushing and a new urethane pigment job (Usa Pigment's Awl Grip)...

I was able to notice a 1952 manual for this saw on this site to impress...this coil saw has a 11" x eleven" cast iron tilting table...four inch arbor bulldoze pulley...runs on either a ane/4 or one/3-hp 1725 rpm motor and weighs in at 72 lbs. This saw requires a 3 inch motor pulley to operate the saw at 1275 rpm's/cut strokes required with a 1725 rpm motor.

This is a really well built machine for what Delta was selling them for dorsum in 1952 (like $42.95)and built to terminal.
The old gal will be around to make some more saw dust for many more years. I've got this saw mounted to a abode fabricated aluminum angle stock stand with a Grand.E. 1/4-HP motor mounted under the saw. All electrical is new, as is the belt and 2 new machined/counterbalanced steel pulleys.

The serial number is AH 2119 and per Delta via their Hotline(800-223-7278)was fabricated in November of 1952 in Milwaukee,WI
